Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before contacting us

Are you available for emergencies outside of business hours?

Yes. Our emergency hotline is accessible 24/7 for critical cases (data loss on a production server, ransomware incident, damaged media following a disaster). Call our Swiss national number directly on 0840 440 840 and specify that it is an emergency: you will be put in contact with an on-call technician.

Tip

In an emergency, do not turn off your server by cutting off the power — a clean shutdown via the operating system preserves the integrity of the file system and facilitates recovery.

Can I drop off my media directly at your lab?

Yes, drop-offs are accepted during opening hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–12pm / 1:30pm–5:30pm). Our laboratory is located at Lagerhausstrasse 25, 3232 Ins (Anet), canton of Bern. A visitor parking space with the number 87 (tesweb) is available on site. By public transport, take bus 109 and get off at the « Pierre-à-Bot » stop.

Do you accept payments in Euros (EUR)?

Yes. We have a bank account in CHF and an account in EUR, both domiciled at UBS SA in Neuchâtel (SWIFT: UBSWCHZH20A). EUR transfers are thus received without conversion fees for customers located in the Eurozone. Our full bank details (IBAN, SWIFT, VAT) are available on this page in the section "Our bank details".

Do you have local phone numbers for customers in France, Belgium, and other countries?

Yes, we have local numbers in several countries to avoid international call charges:

  • Switzerland: 0840 440 840 (national), 061 551 03 40 (Basel), 044 552 03 70 (Zurich)
  • France: 09 75 12 23 66
  • Belgium: 078 480 294
  • England (London): 020 3514 2288
  • Luxembourg: 20 88 05 20
  • United States: New York 646-453-6851, Boston 857-239-0950, Los Angeles 213-438-9050

All data recovery work is performed from our laboratory in Switzerland, regardless of the number dialed.

How do I send my media if I cannot travel?

You have two options: drop off your media at one of our 50+ partner collection points in Switzerland, or send it to us by registered mail directly to our laboratory (Lagerhausstrasse 25, 3232 Ins). Upon request, we will provide you with a free secure shipping label. Careful packaging (bubble wrap or rigid foam) is essential to prevent damage during transport.

Tip

Never use a simple envelope to ship a hard drive or SSD — the impact during postal sorting can irreparably worsen a mechanical failure.

Is my data safe if I send you my media by mail?

Absolutely. Each piece of media is received with acknowledgment of receipt, recorded in our tracking system, and stored in a secure safe between each stage of intervention. Our premises are protected by a video surveillance system, access by nominative badge, and an alarm connected to a security center. Tesweb SA is authorized to process confidential data for Swiss federal institutions and is CyberSafe certified. Your data never leaves Swiss territory.

What are your opening hours?

Our laboratory is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Outside of these hours, an appointment can be arranged upon request. Our 24/7 emergency phone service is available for critical situations.

What is your response time for requests submitted via form or email?

We are committed to responding to all requests within 2 business hours. Upon physical receipt of your media, the diagnosis is performed within 3 hours, and a detailed quote is sent to you before any work begins. No intervention is carried out without your explicit agreement.
